Taurus Season—the energy we’ve all been waiting for! The anticipation of spring, warmth, regeneration and rejuvenation. How many false starts can the weather tease on us? Well fret not, because peace is here. Well, peace amongst other energies, of course. Casting the event chart reveals a grounding Grand Trine woven through the primal triad: the steadfast Taurus Sun, a Capricorn Moon rooted in integrity, and a Virgo Ascendant infused with sacred dissatisfaction. We know that the next 30 days will be full of measured revelations, embodied truth, and quiet realignments—each moment asking us to listen more deeply to what truly nourishes us.
This Taurus Sun season also starts off with ever planet moving direct in the sky. The time of retrograde reflections was abundant this winter and solstice, yet has come to a brief yet significant end; the middle of celestial springtime, Taurus Season, and its promise of growth and new life is fulfilled. Each one of the planets in the sky will continue moving forward for about half of Taurus season, a bountiful 15 days. We will be delighted by the Taurus New Moon under these conditions as well, showering us with energetic support to make our dreams real. After the New Moon on April 27th, the frequency of Pluto becomes more pressing as this celestial body slows to a stop.
On May 4th, Pluto stations retrograde in the sky, starting its inward journey in the early degrees of Aquarius. Largely supported by powerful fire aspects, the undercurrents of our shadow world begin to stir. We’re invited to pause and passionately examine the infrastructures—internal and external—that shape our future. Aquarius wants revolution, but Pluto insists on deep integrity. This retrograde isn't about fast change—it’s about examining the shadows in our systems, our communities, and our ideals. It asks: What are we trying to liberate, and why? And more importantly—what still has power over us, even when we think we're free?" Driven by the heart with Mars and the Moon conjunct in Leo feeling tension with this Pluto, we know we are going to feel an active impulse to meet these internal explorations with external processing. An activating yet loving energy coming from Aries where Venus and Neptune are conjunct, energetically empowers this Pluto station. It will become clearer to us who in our lives most aligns with our innovative outlooks, where our social and relational energy will be best spent. The challenge here is to place our energy into those with whom we naturally align most, resisting the urge to waste time convincing others of our path and our truths. Productive debates are still possible, however with so much direct motion, there is a big risk of most people being so intent on relaying information, they will have no ability to listen or absorb contrasting data or experiences. And with that vulnerable Leo Moon involved, it’s better to keep our priorities in line, waiting to express ourselves to our right audience rather than trying to impart our will on those that aren’t right for us in this moment.
Taurus Season begins wrapping up with a beautiful Scorpio Full Moon on May 12th, highlighting this deeply Plutonic energy. With Uranus’s energy fusing with the Sun to light up this dynamic Moon, Aquarian themes are once again underscored. Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is asking us to use our individuation whilst setting intentions under this Full Moon energy. What are you truly passionate about? Where do you see necessary change that you can affect in the world, in your own unique way? Epiphanies abound under this paradoxical energy, knowing that the will of the world may or may not see you as a genius for your insights… it is possible that people will not understand where you are coming from, casting you as a sort of societal criminal for your outlook. Just remember, this energy is available to everyone! So keep that in mind and try not to be quick to rush to judgement. Stay sturdy within your own truth, steadfast in your own values. Each of our own lived experiences informs our individual missions and outlooks on life. Taurus energy is supporting our growth in the directions that these experiences lead us. Sometimes that journey is a quiet, solitary one. And that’s ok. Remember that too many seeds can crowd the soil.
